Guelph Laboratory Air Handling Unit Replacement
Bird completed four custom air handling unit (AHU) upgrades for the Ontario Government's Research Labs in Guelph, including supplying and installing all piping, valves, and accessories.
As an active research laboratory, it was paramount not to unduly disturb operations during the upgrade process. Bird Infrastructure carefully planned the project to be completed across seven phases, ensuring minimal disruption to day-to-day lab activities.
As general contractor for the project, Bird effectively managed a large group of subcontractors, including contractors for electrical, sheet metal, controls, civil engineering, insulation, chemical treatment, and air balancing.
