330 & 350 Rathburn Road Chiller Replacement

Bird Infrastructure completed simultaneous chiller system replacements at two 23-storey condominium towers in Mississauga, delivering full cooling readiness on a tight project schedule. Each building—constructed in 1990 and housing a total of 408 units—underwent a complete retrofit including chillers, cooling towers, pumps with VFDs, vibration isolation, electrical and control wiring, and refrigerant evacuation.

To maintain schedule efficiency, Bird executed two coordinated 350-ton crane lifts at the same time to install equipment on mechanical penthouses. As General Contractor, Bird oversaw all aspects of construction and subcontractor management, including sheet metal, civil, electrical, insulation, balancing, and roofing, while also ensuring effective traffic and pedestrian control throughout.
